Start Messy…

The other day, I came across an image that stopped me in my tracks (Image below) — It reminded me of something so simple, but so easy to forget:

As artists and creatives, we often fall into the trap of perfectionism.

We get a spark of inspiration — that awesome lightbulb moment — and then almost instantly… we think ourselves out of it.

We tell ourselves:

• We need a strategy.
• We need the perfect rollout.
• Who’s the audience? What’s the budget?
The list goes on and on…

And just like that, the momentum fades.

Then we open Instagram and scroll through everyone else’s polished highlight reel… No wonder some days feel so heavy.

Truth is — I’m also guilty of it. But here’s the reminder I needed, and maybe you do, too:

🌱 Your ideas aren’t meant to be perfect from the jump — they start out as small seeds that are meant to be grown.

And just like a seed doesn’t bear fruit the moment it breaks the soil, your art isn’t supposed to be flawless in the beginning.

Just make it exist first.

The creative process is sacred.

In a world that celebrates content machines and “more, faster, better,” remember — the magic is in the becoming.

Taking something from your imagination and bringing it to life is a powerful act.

It teaches and it transforms.

So here’s your sign:

Start messy. Start small. Just start.

You can always refine it later.

What matters most is that it exists…because when it exists, it has the power to give hope.
